As individual winners of the My Climb for Heart Health contest, Leah Goignat, Alex Mitko, and Michael Weidman received a trip to a recording studio for a workshop on creating and publishing a health promotion song. They came together to create a public service announcement, LIVIN. LIVIN is about looking at opportunities and making choices that make a difference.

My Climb is a grassroots reality health event sponsored by InnerLink, to raise awareness about the leading cause of death in the United States among school-age children and adolescents. It coupled an ascent of Tanzania's highest peak with a virtual learning experience and advocacy contest. As a group of cardiac survivors climbed Tanzania's Mt. Kilimanjaro, students participated virtually by identifying their own health "mountain" and learning to make healthy life choices. My Climb is an engaging tool for translational science education that takes what researchers discovered and makes it practical for a student's own life.

My Climb provided a unique opportunity that linked together a Mayo Clinic research project, Tanzania's highest peak, corporate partners, and youth in schools. My Climb corporate partners took advantage of this exciting event to reach students and their families by being a force for health in the community. Best Buy donated a GoPro camera used to capture images for the Mayo study and climb. SmartTrax, a music production company, and MusicProducer, a music production software company, participated in the contest that culminated in winners with a trip to a recording studio for a workshop on creating and publishing a health promotion song.
