InnerLink wins 2012 AAHE Distinguished Service to Health Education Award

American Association for Health Education (AAHE) will award InnerLink with the 2012 AAHE Distinguished Service to Health Education Award for its significant contribution to health education. The award goes to an individual or organization outside the health education profession making an outstanding, national impact on the advancement of health education over and above their normal realm of activity.

InnerLink uses data-driven decision making to advance health outcomes and improve the health of the population. By combining best practices in data aggregation with cutting edge technology and engaging content, InnerLink delivers software as a service in an effort to optimize health. Robert G. Gillio, M.D., Chairman, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of InnerLink, will accept the award on behalf of the company at this years American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (AAHPERD) National Convention & Exposition in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr Gillio stated, "At InnerLink, we are committed to creating tools for the individual and professionals that advance the health of the population, one healthy decision at a time. As a company, we try to be a "force for health" in the community, and so this is the message we give students. This award reaffirms our commitment to support the nation with free and subscription portals, apps, curricula, and program resources and to support the great work of our colleagues, the members of the American Association of Health Educators."

Past recipients of the AAHE Distinguished Service to Health Education Award include: Blue Cross, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Kellogg Foundation, Metropolitan Life, National P.T.A., Association of School Administrators, 3 M Company and Oprah Winfrey.
